Aww, I love those fairy wrens, there was one that sat on the wing mirror when we were at a waterfall visit last year, so cute.

Oh those lorikeets remind me that I saw 2 x blue and yellow macaws fly over when I was driving through Great Ecclestone about 3 weeks ago

I nearly ran over a red squirrel on my bike. It shot out from one verge, about two feet in front of my wheel, and dashed into the hedge in the other side of the road.

This morning a pine marten was much more laid back about crossing the road. It gently bounced out of the hedgerow and was making its way across the road. I squeezed my brake, which squeaked, and the marten turned tail and sped off back to where it had come from.

Yesterday, swimming in the river, a kingfisher flew overhead. Today at the same place, a grass snake swam past. Also heard my first chiffchaff for many weeks.

Lots of chatter on Twitter about how birding in a group larger than 6 was illegal but if you took guns instead of binoculars you could have up to 30...

Two different singing dippers on lunchtime walk. One on the Worth and one on the beck. Also a ‘broken’ chiffchaff
