Carpark to leave is also gridlocked. Mulitple Blue light ambulances have just arrived at the event, so hopefully whoever they are for are ok & it is precautionary.

Looks a great run rhb, well done! I especially like the way you managed the effort and pick up as the race progresses, that takes real patience 👏🏻

Nice rhb. Glad the ankle didn't cause any issues. Hope you made it out of the car park and there are no serious injuries/casualties. My abiding memory of the GNR is of being stuck at the finish for hours afterwards.

That's a great result and must also be a great relief that you're running ok.

I have yet to run a sub 3hr marathon.

Friday's local half marathon will be a gauge of my fitness. If I can run 1:25:xx I have a shot to run sub3 in Amsterdam.

I had great training and a nice low heart rate in July and the beginning of August; but after my holiday in Greece and a subsequent viral illness I'm feeling OK but not as a great as I was.

Thanks all, full steam ahead to Abingdon now. Garmin prediciton is positive.

I'd like a Chester Metric Marathon place to run MP in race conditions ideally, if I can get one via transfer.

Cracking run rhb. Looks very controlled. How did you feel an hour after? Was recovery time good?

^ I did a 4 mile warm down but felt very heavy legged. Hungry today. Gentle miles this eve all being well.
