It kind of added to its character - I nearly beat 50 mins for a 10k in that watch. 😃 In other news, who spent nearly 10 minutes hanging her new watch out of the window to get a GPS fix because it told her the temperature was 32 degrees, and she thought that must be the temperature of the place the software was installed? Yes, it was set to Farenheit...

I put a one piece Velcro strap on my 310xt because its pins had a habit of popping out and it was too expensive to lose. (Cheap compared to a Fenix though)

I stuck with the standard strap for my 310XT and later. The plastic straps are fine once they are on, I just find some of them a faff to do up and then move the end keeper bit into the right place.

Sits nicely on the strap. roadid.com
quimby Jan 2022 10:10pm, 25 Jan 2022 5,295 posts	0 quimby I'm a fan of RoadID, but I have a thin, narrow (1cm) rubbery band on my other wrist (like one of those charity bands) with my ID on. I don't actually take that off until the band wears very thin and I need to replace it (that takes several years, I think I'm on my second).
fazmo Jan 2022 10:40pm, 25 Jan 2022 141 posts	0 fazmo I use a parkrun ultraband so that I always have ICE info on me - its a pity they don't make watch straps as the material and quality seems good. I have tried a replacement aftermarket silicone band for my 645 music, but within an hour or so my wrist became sore and inflamed, so I'm back on the slightly knackered original garmin silicone strap. They're not cheap (compared to the aftermarket bands) but I think I'll have to splash out for a genuine Garmin replacement.
