I know it’s 2-3 miles of single track road with passing places, and I don’t mind following you while you’re cycling along the middle of the road because it looks like you are trying. But when you start to freewheel, then pull out your phone and start looking at the screen, still freewheeling, it’s time to let you know I’m right behind you. Although I don’t believe my 14 year old car is so stealthy or silent that you shouldn't have known I’d been there for ages. BEEEEEEP !!! Watching your jolt & shock was worth it! (I did beep. He shot out of his skin. And looked a bit sheepish)

I mean, why wouldn't a seasoned SQL developer with 20+ years' experience not think to try that in the first place, when a "business analyst" suggests the addition of an index, and even explains how indexing works (and is entirely inaccurate in his description). So I humour him, add the index, re-run the SQL and watch it take 10 seconds LONGER ... I could HEAR him scratching his head 🤣🤣 I knew why, but I wasn't going to tell him ... because, well, where's the fun in that?! 😜
