I stopped years ago even asking people if they had children, but I used to I'm sorry that people are so insensitive. Having had ours years before we finally got married, I was still surprised to find that, in 2011, the question I most got asked after "what took you so long?" was "so, are you going to have more children now? ". As if getting married ought to be the catalyst for some legitimate offspring. Nobody asks now, thankfully.]

I don’t mind the disgusting horrible smell of you smoking all day and making my upstairs flat stink of your nicotine smoke because you don’t open any windows and so I have to sit in the cold with my windows open for some fresh air while letting all the heat escape.

Thank you for your. comments on my appraisal that you would like to see me be more proactive in taking on more responsibilities and/or organising some events. However these things are not part of my job description and I have zero desire to do them. If I was interested in doing them, I would have applied for a promotion to the grade where they are part of the job. I’m not a 20-something looking for things to put on my CV, I’m just marking time until I can proactively tell you where to poke your job.
