Btw I also like Zoom Fly, I use them for sessions although there's starting to not be a need for them as I'm using retired treadbare vaporflys instead!

Having read that I wouldn't bother, seems like you're just giving them a short interest free loan!

does look legit, doesn't it? Will wait for someone else to post about their successful purchase before I dive in though!

Yeah, it doesn't make sense for there to be a pre order for a sale. Sales are usually getting rid of stock not getting more in. Sites like Sports Pursuit presumably take sales stock off manufacturers but that isn't Sports Direct's model.

Sounds like a desperate attempt to generate cash flow for a company in trouble.

Ah, sorry for getting anyone’s hopes up. It’s not a company I often give my business to, but have to admit I’ve been very tempted by their heavily discounted Dragonfly’s. I already have a track pair and XC though and really don’t need another right now.

First impression of the Evo Pro 1 that I will wear in Amsterdam. Warm-up and 4 miles @ MP in old Vaporfly 3%. Warm-up and 4 miles @ MP in the Evo Pro 1. First thing I noticed was a lot less traction than with traditional Adidas shoes that feature a Continental rubber sole. If it's rainy it might be better not to use them. Smooth sole. Second it was difficult to run slower than 8min/mile. Marathon pace (6:50min/mile) today felt like hard work in the first part of my run (in old Vaporfly 3%) and felt hard but more manageable in the Evo Pro. I accelerated the last half mile and the shoe really came to life at higher speeds. |
