Actually a comment on there has drawn my attention to the heel saying 2025-03! Hopefully a model number not a date!

Really narrow in the midfoot, wouldn't suit me at all, but then I'm sure I'm not their target audience 😂

I think it tapers narrower at the point the sole meets the floor Vs where it meets your foot. Might still be narrow overall though. I'd want to race it up to HM but it might not be versatile enough for that (aggressiveness of the plate, etc).

There's a new alphafly elite on the legal shoes list based on the shoe code (Dev 16E), just in time for marathon season. There has been one on there since March (Dev 15) which I presume is what Ingebrigtsen had on the other day.

My Meta Speed Edge are at 150mile+ used but I guess *may* be ok for another Marathon, although may not be.

I'd rather be 100% confident in them on the day. Seems like nowhere online is carrying stock though. Are there any high street retailers I should be looking around, or am I missing some online retailers?

If not, what alternatives should/could I consider? Note: for those I'd need try on options ideally as mail-order and returns are huge challenge for me.

Sport Direct have the purple colourway VF at full price, might have to take the hit on those? sportsdirect.com

I ended up with Magic Speed 4 at full price. Will see how they go at Mara effort tomorrow then maybe have a trip to Asics at Cheshire Oaks for Metaspeed Edge at full price too.
