Gus - Are you saying the react foam is closer to the ground? The Reebok Floatride Fast Pro have a very small EVA top layer. Interestingly the RTR review talk the non pro one and thinks the thicker EVA in that deadens the PEBAX Vs the Pro. |

Not right in the middle but not just the edge. I always wear shoes on the outside of the forefoot but with the VF and the ZF I *think* the carbon plate isn’t actually full width. What that means is that it kinda creates an edge that cuts through the sole. The plate is all a bit crumbly on the edge where it’s been beaten up too.

My ZF Flyknit (can you still obtain these as I have a pair of Zoom Fly 3 don't feel the same) are on the way out done about 300 plus in them had my best 5k and half in them love the shoe. But does feel slightly uneven though wear. Can they still be purchased anywhere ?

You can see the outer edge wear instagram.com Slow mo of the shoe in action. I'm thinking of giving mine up as I think they are causing hamstring distress. |

Just to be clear there Gobi - are you thinking that VFs are giving you hamstring distress, or that just one old pair are in that position? I've seen some comments elsewhere about people being worried about injury risk with VFs, but I've discounted that as being anecdotal in the same way that just about every pair of shoes has an online review somewhere which says "This shoe caused me to tear my calf" etc.

thanks for that. Nice face gear It seemed that there was more sponginess in the right foot than the left. Was that just the camera angle? Maybe they are more spongy on the outside so the side nearest the camera looks like it gives more. My vaporflys are now with my mum, who has the flu so won't be out and posting them anytime soon. But there is a blizzard here (again!) and likely ice and snow for a couple of months yet, so I couldn't use them outside anyway. |
