Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Don't think I'm going to manage a sub-3:30 but 3:39 may be doable?

I wouldnt be so quick to write it off fr.

Did a 3.34 half untapered at the weekend - ran twice every day the week before
Feel fairly confident of 3.30 on the right course with the right weather and when I havnt just done a big race the week before!

This weekend is Glasgow to Edinburgh so don't think I'll be doing 3.30 at the enigma good Friday but if legs are feeling ok will run hard and see what happens. If I get under 3.37 I'll be v happy as that would be a road pb ( have done 3.31 on track)

Aye FR don;t write it off. You picked up towards the end there hence the HR rise (kinda like mine reported yesterday on the other thread). Sure on the day an with a little rest you'll be plenty faster.
My 20 was 7:59 avg but I'm still happy with the way it went and that under 7:20 on the day is going to happen even though it did raise my HR a bit in the last few progressive miles.

An if it's 3:39 then that's still a good number ;)

3:39 is a very good number, and until very recently would have been dream land territory. Perhaps due to my re-known slow down after 20 miles I should try and get through halfway in 1:45-ish and see how the day goes from there?

looks like a good progressive run fr :-) and if you have used hrm training throughout it will help u on race day to gage how you are feeling and if it's worth / possible to increase pace or reign it in!
