Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thanks for all the kind words about todays DNF it was always on the cards with a injury I have had 3 weeks. Felt it was recovered enough to have a go.
Going to take at least a week of running and just some gentle dog walking plus rehab.

I feel like I might curse myself with a virus if I post too much in here this week but all seems to be ok so far.

Here's my Tanda prediction. I trained for 3:23 and am fairly hopeful I can achieve that. I'm 4-5kg lighter than I was in London, with a better base of mileage and one extra long run with quality in the bag relative to last training cycle. So no reason to think I won't outperform this by about the same margin or perhaps even slightly more (but let's not get greedy).

Obviously, will be dependent on not getting ill or anything unexpected rearing its head during the race. Could be slightly warm perhaps but I've got decent heat acclimation still.

Planning on setting out at 3:23 pace and assessing about half way. I've heard the first few miles can be congested so won't be too worried if I'm off the pace at the beginning.

Just waiting now really!

Have a great run, @auburnette luck

I have Tanda envy! My predictions are typically out by half an hour or more.
