welcome back Hellen, we remember you :-)

when is your target race?

I always found it frustrating after a marathon block, always thought I should be on top form after a couple of easy weeks but I never was. I think the reality is that you get ready for the big day, give it your all and then need to re-focus, etc, etc. Knuckle down for a few weeks and I'm sure that you'll find improvements again. Look forward to reading about your journey.

I’m not sure when my target race is. After my little outing yesterday I feel as though I may wait a bit and enjoy some ultras

@Windsor Wool can you put me down for Tissington Trail marathon 27 April. Sub 3:15 could be faster end of my target but if you don’t try 😁

The 50 wasn’t a target race, it was a run walk take it steady affair. Took a couple of weeks easy after

I was considering entering the EMF half, but its now full. My options are:

1) find another and run sub 1:35 for a GFA
2) enter the marathon instead and think about 3:15
3) stick with parkruns

Hello all

In my opinion training for a good half requires close to marathon training so I would probably go for either the marathon or the Parkruns as the polar opposites to each other.

(That was my thinking about doing the Tissington marathon rather than the half anyway)

Are you doing the virtual London to look to get GFA entry based on a half time? Sub 1:32:56 needed if that's the case!
