Thanks WW, well not proud perhaps, and still a bit bummed out for feeling this strange in my body, but I needed to get it done. I kinda hoped it all would be fine and that I would be back in shape. But now I know I wasn’t.
I will see what I can do to get this sorted, probably the answer is take it easy, but that’s kinda hard too.
If it’s not a femur poking out of the skin, I found that the medical answers always is a bit wonky. But I can go easier, some training must be good though, for the peace of mind. Time will tell.

I joined the 3:15 thread back in my mid 40s when I think 3:15 was the GFA cut off for my age.
I'm 52 now, and I'd need to run sub 3:06:30 to get GFA based on today's GFA announcements. Blimey! Those shoes have got a lot to answer for...

Yeah. AND 3:15 was easier a few years ago. You 40 something younglings now have got it hard! G

Also the sheer popularity of the sport having an impact, I hope.
Coincidentally, I was thinking about this on my run today after I'd come across a few 'I'm in!' posts. I was thinking back as to why 3:15 was even a target in the olden days (2010). Then remembered that this was the GFA time target for MV40s back then as you said lark. I think it may have been 3:10 for men under 40 too but not absolutely sure on that.
