Thanks for the tips! Getting down there may not be feasible, but I'd want to have a plan if I do. I watched so many bloomin' XC races in the cold and wet when he was young, will just be nice to be standing on a solid floor whilst spectating!

Lol, watching at XC in depths of winter can be miserable. London in autumn should be much nicer. But busier. I'm not a big fan of crowds, so find that part quite annoying! G

Here we go Larks. When I spectated in London I dropped my friend off at the start, saw the wheelchair and elite starters on Blue, nipped over the road to see her at the Green route then waited for the red runners to finish before heading to just before Cutty Sark. Saw the quick runners go past then went across the river using the foot tunnel before it got too busy. Caught the front runners in Greenwich before catching the overground/tube to the embankment where I had time for some lunch and then saw my friend again. I then managed to walk about 2 miles to the finish to meet and support her at Horseguards. Busy day but very rewarding.

I've watched in and around tower bridge/embankment using the underpass then you can cut in from the other side of horse guards parade to meet finishers at the meeting point. I don't know London well enough to know street names but it was fairly straightforward.

Managed to bag a 6 year 5km best of 19:11 at weekend (new to me location, but I think distance was accurate). I was wearing the Vaporfly cheat shoes, so maybe that helped! Hopeful for something closer to 1:30 for the half than I was previously. Might even start marathon training again, one day! G

2 x late 40s/early 50s in my 2nd claim club got 2:40 and 2:44 at Berlin yesterday. Amazing stuff. Thanks chaps btw. Not a "comeback" yet larks, could be a blip! G

Just took a quick look at the FAQs for London. There are 10 *frequently" asked questions listed under event info, e.g. can I transfer a number to family member, etc. And the clearly frequently asked "Can I take part in an exoskeleton?" 😲
I'd call 19:11 a comeback HG, even if its not yet a marathon. Natural talent clearly shining through, and more importantly it sounds like you're enjoying it!
