Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Your cadence for 5k, HM, and Mara PBs is fairly similar. That doesn't suggest a runner limited by flexibility, if you were I'd expect you'd auto select a cadence strategy to increase speed.

Stiffness here doesn't mean inflexibility btw but it might be easier to produce that stiffness without excess flexibility.

Ok, thanks SPR. I’ll have look into that. I’m still crocked so no real running still, but my mind has switched now so I’m going to try and work on some strength and flexibility anyway.

Cool. Working on both strength and flexibility seems sensible.

I’m stiffer than a stiff thing and have occasionally tried to do something about it in the past with no perceptible improvement or benefit so have basically given up on that. I don’t think it relates to marathon performance as SPR explains.

Really interesting increase in cadence towards the end whilst maintaining pace FergusG.
