Is that you making fun of my pace WW :-O :-P

Kinky is an international ultra runner so if she can do 14mm, my 11:03 ave for my long runs is perfect respectable and my 9:54 average overall is positively flying! ;-)

More than one way to skin a cat etc. When I run a pace run, I run it at a certain pace. When I am chatting in the car park (and I do a lot of chatting) I don't switch my Garmin off, so you're gonna see 10 mins of standing around time more that once in a month in my log. So sue me! :-) G

I think I'm a bit slower than most, but 6 weeks into my 18 weeks for Abingdon and I've done 263miles at an average of 8:30/mile.

Like Larkin I am currently trying to figure out how I carry on with my plan whilst on holiday. I think I'll do the shorter runs before everyone else is up and think I have negotiated a couple of evenings for long runs. I've also hooked up with the local running club to find out where is good to run so hopefully they will help me out.

this week has me doing 50miles. I have Yateley 10K on Wednesday so that'll be turned into my 10 with 5@LT pace and then I had to muck about with the other runs so I'll be doing 11 MLR on Friday and 18 on Sunday (on holiday, not knowing where I should be going!)

Huge well done to KinkyS at Lakeland100.

Nice training I spy on strava from some sub 3.15ers......

On lowest July mileage for a while with wedding planning (less than 12 weeks to go), busy working weeks and neither of us have a race booked for 2017. I'm happy doing lots of circuit classes/ spin and still running some miles. I've no real interest in entering a race :)

Off to London next weekend for the world champs - anyone else going?

As you were.

I am on Sunday. Morning heats and qualifiers, tickets were dirt cheap so under £30 for 2 adults and a child which isn't a bad price.

I tell a lie, £35 for the three of us. Still cheaper than one ticket to watch Arsenal!

I wasn't actually G, but what I do find amazing is that such differing approaches will likely result in us having near identical marathon race paces come October.

Now, the inability to turn your Garmin off while stood stationary in a car park is certainly worth making fun of!

Nice work CW, the training is building nicely. And you Lou, it's great to see your progress and clearly that you're increasingly comfortable running sessions, parkruns, etc..

What proportion of your runs do you do on a treadmill WW? Less likely to have GPS issues if you don't go outdoors! ;-)

I think you are at least 30s per mile quicker than me. I haven't been near a 1:23 half for 4 years. I'm 5-6 mins off that at mo. And 60-90s slower at 5K etc. So no, I don't think I would be anywhere near you in a marathon 8 - 14 mins slower, I suspect. Presume you'd be going for 2:59, I'm going for 3:14! :-) G

I purchased a treadmill last winter, haven't used it for a while. Treadmills are definitely a winter thing, it's way too hot in my garage the rest of the time. Now, I am thinking about getting a vehicle charging point installed in there, perhaps I should get A/C in there at the same time?

It's too early for targets for any of us, except maybe for PtB for whom we need to be setting a minimum amount of consumed alcohol limit....

Talking of racing, without disrupting training I need to get that start-line feeling a few times in the run up to the event. Maybe I'll start with parkrun this weekend, that'll depend on whether I plan to run easy on Sunday or something more structured. Sometimes my plans are a little 'fluid'!
