I can't emulate him but I can report that I did some strides this morning, 1st 'speedwork' in a some time and my belly was wobbling. Never had that feeling before, OMG.
Perhaps it's the faster stuff that gets the body in shape? Gah!!!

I had what can only be described as the sound of "bingo wings" flapping during a fairly recent one mile pb. Happy with the time, embarrassed by the noise.

A one second PB at Heckington 10 this morning, 1:07:00, pleased with some very consistent pace on a dead flat course. Wind in the back for miles 1-3 and 6-8 and in my face for 4-5 and 9-10 which made for a tough last couple of miles where I dropped off a little, but a PB is a PB!

Now sat with a beer, a burger and watching the Red Devils land at the Heckington Show. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

Good stuff larkim.
I am struggling a bit. Gave my run after work last night and again this morning a miss and did a fair bit of foam rolling / stretching instead. My hip is playing up again. Due to be doing MP miles tomorrow

Nice WW
Hip was OK thanks - left ankle more of a worry but see how that goes. 17 with 12 at MP done. Not as good as last time out, but then I didnt prepare like an athlete last night.

Nice long running gents. Away on hols next week, so starting to stress about my motivation levels to knock out decent mileage without getting in the way of the holiday. Saturday is sorted as we set of about 4:30am to aim to get to Barnstaple parkrun for the six of us to stretch our legs around (some more enthusiastically than others!), and then I've got a decent enough plan for either LR Sunday or Monday. But as there are 7 of us on holiday, and we've only got a car for 6, there'll be a few days where I'm on my bike for family days out. Bike can take the place of recovery runs well enough, but its the 10m tempo and 11m MLR that I can see being the struggle to get done.
After this weekend's racing I think the MLR will take precedence (I'm happy with where speed endurance is going - though I was surprised not to be reaching 170bpm this weekend) if I have to choose between them, and the terrain of North Devon probably makes that the more sensible option anyway. There are flat options, but I'd have to drive down to the estuary to make those work.
