Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

40:48 is good enough.

The Dwars door Mechelen - in Belgium. I live in Brussels so it's local for me!

Nice PB KB. Belgians get all the cool-sounding races...

I should be on this thread really. But the from 3.15 to my actual mara PB is, frankly, scary.

Abdou - just glanced at the training and if you can do a LSR of over 22 miles in 3:02 and you need to hold back your speed, then I would suggest 3:15 is on the cards matey! Get positive!!

I love Belgium. A big group of us are heading over in November for a weekend in Brussels/Ghent. We've been over 5 or 6 times now and it's always a great laugh.

Abdou, following from what Woffy says you belong in this thread :)

22 miles LSR in 3:02 is bang on. I'm targetting 3:02 for my 22 mile run next weekend.

Following the theme of all things Belgium, I am doing the Brussels marathon on Oct 14th so am still hoping for a sub 3:15 run - tho' injury has reduced the chances. My LSR for 22 miles (1 planned due to time running out) will be aiming for 3:15 on September 30th so you lads are travelling quicker than me.

Never yet been to Brussels or Belgium at all so looking forward to the weekend with my OH.

Ach, go on then. :-)

My only experience of Brussels was in the tipping rain, but the beer in the bars we sheltered in was so good I barely remember it at all.

*leaves to plot overambitious new race plan*

My favourite memory of Brussels was finding that Tennents Super Lager is considered a rather classy premium drink over there. In stark contrast to how it's viewed here - the jakey's choice.
