I empathise with the inverted commas around "enjoyed", Parkbench! Looks like a good session to me, apart from the fifth rep. Do you know what happened there?
3:18 sounds like a good aim next time. Do you know what your splits were like for the individual 400s?

I didn't record them. Must remember to do that next time. Pondering whether it's feasible (feasable ?) to get in an interval session on a friday after work, when I'm on noons (we finish early), so I'm doing one a week, rather than one a fortnight.

Rach - that was the plan anyway, Wednesday is the day, down to the gym at lunchtime and a visit to the podiatrist in the afternoon! I have been out for a run for the last 3 lunchtimes and they seem much easier than a couple of weeks ago.

SOD!!! Do intervals instead. 5k on the treddy will barely be beneficial to race performance and you'll much more easily hit your target in races if you do interval training instead (I really, really learnt the hard way - I used to regularly go sub-20 on a treddy when I was trying to hit that target but couldn't hit it in races for ages. It also wore me out and caused me to get injured).
Steven, glad you've got your next week planned!
ParkB, I'd definitely try and get one session in a week.

intervals for me too (everyone's at it at the moment!)
following rach and mark's advice i went for 5 x 1km again - and still of 60seconds but this time aiming for between 4.20 and 4.25.
and they were 4.21 / 4.17 / 4.21 / 4.23 / 4.23
i'm thinking if the weather is good i might race 5k on tuesday.

Great stuff M! I think you should race on Tuesday whether the weather's good or not. I've raced my best races in the most appalling conditions!

i guess you are right. i don't mind if it rains or not, and i don't mind hot or cold. but wind really puts me off. but i ran a half marathon pb in gale force winds a few weeks back so perhaps i just need to get over it!
we live in the "roaring forties" so wind is a major fact of life here. next tuesdays forecast is for 40kph average wind speed which isn't too bad i guess.

I love Wellington, M. I did an tour with my orchestra around New Zealand and stayed in Wellington for a while. It was such a beautiful country.
(in fact, I'm absolutely desperate to go back)
As long as the course isn't a point-to-point and into the wind all the way, I'd go for it!
