Dymock Half on 30th May will be my first serious attempt at sub 1:30. I may have run 1:30:00 in the Forest Of Dean Half a month ago but I wasn't even thinking of a time close to that then. The race panned out really well and it was only mid-race I knew sub 1:30 was on but being a trails course, the quality of the surface deteriated badly over the last 2 miles meaning I just missed out.

Miser - if you can run 8 miles in training at HMP then I agree, you will man it through come race day.
my view on the tempos: no more than 7 miles. As for the LSR: I don't think that this is a necessity every week as part of HM training. Nice to get it up to 14 / 15 miles though but run SLOWLY.....

Woo! 1:28:36 in a definitely 'undulating' Exeter.
Struggled through the last 5k as expected and was cheerily told I looked in a world of pain when spotted around 11 miles. Pleased right now - but looking at my splits I was definitely fading towards the end. More miles are the only way methinks..

Nice one Miser. Achieved with plenty to spare, enjoy that one won't you.
Next pop for me is: 22 August - Burnham Beeches if you would please Bree. It's not a PB course and it's bound to be 30C so it will be a tough one!!
