I suppose some of that 10 is the pure chance aspect of P-R. I am surprised at how he won (catching the break, not out-sprinting them).

Luke Rowe 8th I see, and not Wiggins as the commentators seemed to indicate.

Great call this morning SPR, pleased for Dege after using de Backer(sp?) to bridge across. Delighted for Luke, remember him as a youngster on the back of the tandem with his dad doing sprint training at Marshfield some years ago. Even I could see that Wiggo had black overshoes on so how Hatch could mistake someone wearing white overshoes I know not.

So we have Brabanconne tomorrow, via cyclingfans I expect, GP Denain on thursday, on Eurosport and then Amstel sunday, again on Eurosport. SNCF, the french railway operator are seriously upset at all the cyclists going through and around the lights and barriers at a level crossing last sunday at P-R. 1 or 2 in the top 20 may have a problem despite the Comms saying no DQs. this is going to run and run if the UCI don't get a grip quickly. |

The rule says that they should have been disqualified AS WELL AS facing punishment under legal system. Inrng tweeted this during the race, and has blogged about it today. inrng.com |

Level crossings grind my gears. But that first photograph is shocking.

Ok time for Amstel Gold, can't see further than Phil Gil for this race-again! Only buy the comic at this time of the year to see what little they have to say about Flanders and Roubaix but stymied as Cycling Weekly seems not to have reached my part of South Wales at all, or at least in the 4 outlets that I have tried so far since yesterday morning. I know that I could read their site but I'm still a paper and book reader mainly. Anyone had problems with delivery this week if they subscribe? |

No problem here - it arrived yesterday, but I'm rather remote from you being in Yorkshire. Maybe Luke Rowe's friends and family have snatched up all the copies!
