I seem to remember a summer spent without a shirt on and a wicked tan! I was 15 at the time.

I don't remember the heatwave of 76, I'm certainly old enough to remember. I was living in Scotland at the time so quite likely there was no heatwave there š |

Brilliant, LouiseRuns š¹š¬š§ šŖšŗ. Enjoy the rest of your life. Sorry I wasn't here to try to pull back the thread from turning into the Over 50s thread temporarily. I expect I have some photos of the heatwave of 76. I remember the fact of a fortnight of hot weather in Cornwall but not any of the details apart from my dad arriving with one sunburned arm from dangling it out the car window during long traffic jam interludes on the journey. |

76! I would have been 9 years old. I don't recall much about that summer apart from a few visits to Twycross Zoo with mum and family friends. It was quite small then and cheap to visit.

I remember 77 (Never Mind The Bollocks, Rumours, Going For The One, Hotel California) - and I remember it being very hot. Mind's a blank on 1976. Weird.

1976. An endless summer in Dorset. And o level results coming through the post on a slip of paper. |
