Having scrutinised my pension a bit more, Iβve noticed that my contribution from my salary is invested a month later, so as I get paid on about the 28th of the month, whatever I contribute doesnβt hit the pension until roughly the 25th of the following month. Sneaky, ehβ¦? Member contributions deducted from pay must be paid into the pension no later than the 22nd day after the deduction. Sounds like your employer is running the risk of a fine from the Pensions regulator. My former employer's payroll people weren't actually aware of this, and a few polite emails from employees pointing out that they were routinely breaking the law got it fixed very quickly. |
