I’ve pencilled in my six Spurs games for next season. One of them is the Forest match in March. Lunch at Chick King, nico? My treat 😎

We are in Shetland just now & the organising it took was a nightmare, booking everything from car parking, accommodation, a cabin on the boat, food on the boot, car hire, trips, race entries. Eventually it will be; I can’t be arsed😀

I got to this point because of Covid.
Thought about my first holiday since December 2019 and boy was it tricky and expensive: a week in Greece!!!

My (NHS) life expectancy is 2025... I survived their "you have 3-6 months" by nearly 9 years already... So I better not live totally like my death is quite imminent, especially as I am not showing any signs of deadly illness yet 🙄😎

Joking aside:
It is a balance between being too careful and being overly callous with your money. When I decided to go free lance and work the minimum I did realise I could no longer retire aged 58, which is next year.
The alternative would have been an extremely stressful job, moving back to London for it, selling my gorgeous property that allows for a self sufficient, holistic life style.
Yes, I would have retired next year but I would probably have succumbed to serious stress induced illness.
And this is personal but I have enjoyed living stressfree and on a shoestring! I know that earning so little can be a cause for stress for some but for me, leaving the ratrace was the best thing ever.

Wow. ‘Nice’ and ‘Chick King’ in the same sentence.

This truly is an age of wonders.

Ally you reckon about 70 is the cut-off point for 'doing stuff'? OH got to that point in his childhood I reckon ;-) (his parents' influence). Luckily (or not) for him he married me and *my* mother's influence is that I shall want to keep doing stuff til I'm about 90 :-)
