A SIPP just allows you to consolidate them under one wrapper Sallykate. You can still choose to be as active or inactive as you wish.

eg. You can choose the same active or tracker funds as are available in Aviva, or elsewhere.

Some of the Aviva funds allow you to make your own contributions via their app. This is quite easy and works out cheaper as you don’t pay advisor charges.

Just going back on the discussion, I have seriously contemplated leaving as the work was getting ridiculous and senior managers oblivious and kept piling it on. Working weekends which I have never done in thirty years.
Then my line manager came back from sick leave and immediately made my work life better (and openly criticised the SMT). I'm sticking with it for now but keeping options open

I've been happy with Aviva Pix. Their funds seem to be solid rather than spectacular. I think the only issue I have come across is that the funds I am in don't allow variable drawdown.

Sorry to x post Hunkyteddy. It looks like your line manager makes your working life easier. I'm lucky that my line manager, the MD, has lots of other things to worry about, he's happy to let me get on with what I do and not bother him. I'm therefore continuing to work for now whilst I enjoy it.

Just dropped MrsP off at the station for her last day as a member of the working population. Wowsers.

I assume she's having a No. 10 style leaving do Greg, so won't be fit to drive home later?
Although starting one's retirement with a hangover could be a slippery slope.

She normally cycles to the station. Me giving her a lift is possibly a bad sign.

People are amazing on your last day; she'll be 'emotional' ;-)
