I have pointed out that not taking the time to sort his stuff out properly will give this future biographer plenty of material to write about how lazy he was in his twenties.
[That's optimistic, @Cerrertonia! Does he have a loft of his own in his immediate future?] |

We are slowly decluttering - or at least we were when we had decided to move to a smaller place. We've now decided to stay put, which is a green light to accumulate more crap again.

Marie Kondo would have a fit if she saw our garage.

Funnily enough Mark Cavendish posted a reel yesterday of him sorting all his racing stuff out that has been stashed at his mum's since he first started racing - said it's the only time he has had to do it now he is retired 😂

My parents decluttered their loft a few years ago and I came home to boxes of sh’t they’d kept belonging to me that I didn’t even want! School books, kids books & toys, teddy bears &dolls that would traumatise a child now! One good thing they brought was a jewellery box it had fallen out in the car and collecting the stuff it also had a dress CZ ring in it but turned out my £10 second hand market purchase was a diamond ring! Me being me I said sell it and get yourselves a holiday (at the time they were struggling financially and they hadn’t had a holiday for a while) so maybe it’s not all been junk. We desperately need to de clutter |

I used to feel that moving house every couple of years was good discipline. It worked for a while. However, I haven't moved now for about thirty years, and in the basement I have a box or two that have not been gone into since a house move in 1987!

Moving across the atlantic was good for decluttering, and I’m a fierce declutterer now. Our garage has very little in it, as we had to empty it last summer so the floor could be redone.

we've been here 30 years and I know there is at least one box in the loft that has not been opened since I moved to our previous house two years before that.
