We have decluttered a lot in readiness for our move, although we had very little in the loft, we are determined that nothing will be stored in the loft of our new house.

Good decision! We decluttered when we moved here 15 years ago this month, had the same rule - and nothing has been stored in the loft. Actually, I don't think I've ever been up there other than to poke my head through the hatch and make sure the previous owners hadn't left all their rubbish behind! |

Our loft is suitcases and Christmas decorations with maybe 1-2 other things. Everything can be reached without actually going into the loft |

Our loft has kids toys in it. I really should get them down, clean them up and donate them somewhere... We also kept the cot and high chair, as you do in expectation of visiting grandchildren, I suppose. We won't be needing them though |

Having been raised by a hoarder and having lost an entire Summer to clearing that house when they passed away, I'm triggered by this conversation
