How do you feel about that CAZ? I think that sounds pretty good, some time to get things lined up and mentally adjust to the idea. Good luck |

Once I stopped work I was offered quite a few bits and pieces of work, from full time to part time and not just in accounts. I've never shown the slightest bit of interest in working again so all offers were out of the blue. |

One month in and unlike when I’ve had longer holidays I’ve not got bored in any way Still waking at 5 but now I can get back to sleep Thanks to @Velociraptor for repeatedly reminding me that I’m retired as I keep being black and white about things! Done so much reading it’s great! |

Nobody offered me a job, give or take a former colleague saying she was sure the out of hours service that she did some sessions for would be delighted to have me if I expressed an interest. I would have if I'd missed working, but I never have.

I had a meeting with my MD meeting during which (not the topic for the meeting) we discussed how the company would very much appreciate me hanging around on an part time perhaps 3 days a week basis - not in my current role but just working as an operator (on an enhanced rate) to help mentor my successor........ this is 6 years away

Mixed emotions @lammo was kind of prepped to go wave 1 on 30 November on the plus side my small post office pension will start paying out next year. So will definitely be retiring when they let me go. Wave 3 supposed to be anywhere between July through to September. Though wouldn’t be surprised if it drifts to a later date 🙄
