I am loving the extra positives about retirement. Not the same at all but during lockdown when life was calmer I planned and cooked better things, I had the time to increase my running (in that once a day exercise rule) and with having a dog a dog walk each day too, I lost quite a bit of weight and was really comfortable. Back to crazy life while I still cook from scratch most days its things I can throw together quickly, its not the well thought out meals so again hopeful that when I do escape I can get back to this weight again as I am struggling to do it at the moment. I think my head is getting to a good place, chats last night I figure if I get to the New Year and appraisal time and OH is still thinking he will go at end of January, then I will give notice of intent and will give them 6months to get someone in and trained. If my colleague also decides to leave it is their problem not mine. The positive I'm doing is I am going to start writing handover notes (I didnt get anything when I started in this role which made my work life very difficult when I joined last year) and writing guidance notes is my forte so bring it on. Lots of things I want to achieve in the next few months which will leave the role in a good place for someone taking over. I feel lighter already! |

I lost about a stone when I first retired. It’s evened out a bit now but Mr W makes exceedingly good cakes and puddings so I have to keep my activity level up! In other news she’s here, I’m freeeeeee! |

Popped into the work place today to be met by a lot of grumpy staff so I’m really glad I’m out of there although they would have me back in a heartbeat. |
