Catsitter, visits twice a day. Cat happier staying at home and someone keeping an eye on the house. Same cost as Cattery.

My other reason is I know from when we had fish and hamsters, responsibility for looking after would fall to me As I dont like dogs or cats, I dont want that to be left with me when the novelty wears off |

It’s my first Friday afternoon of flexible working. I did 5hrs this morning, but then went for a run, had my lunch and now off to do a spot of gardening before the football and Tour de France.

In preparation for the FA coming on Tuesday we have been totting up how much money we need a month to pay bills & savings against what we can access & have to say we are not going to struggle. I’m hoping that means while I retire my work pension can just sit where it is. So this plan could come into force sooner. OH is seriously thinking after his birthday in January which could mean April for me (work bonus is not to be missed) but it feels a bit soon giving the planning I needed for handover & I am sure my colleague is also looking to move on in April too. So I feel Tuesday is going to be a productive evening. |

Great news GG Remember you are more important than work If you go it’s there problem not yours I know you are nice so want to do a good handover but you need to focus on no.1 |

I’ve not met a single person yet who has said they wish they’d stayed in work longer. I’ve met a few who say they wish they had retired earlier than they did.. and that you don’t need as much money as you think you do.

Hope it goes well @geordiegirl , and @cathrobinson ‘s assessment is spit on. So long as you’re mortgage-free you actually need surprisingly little money to live quite comfortably 😁
