I was 24 hours too late getting PIP for my fuel allowance which i desperately need 😩 while my wealthy ex husband gets his by default! There should be a better system, I agree with your dad Vrap...

In 1973, a 1st class stamp was 3.5p. Now it's £1.25. I can't think of anything else that has gone up nearly 40-fold in 40 years. (Actually 35.7 times for pedants) So I thought I'd ask you lot... |

A few years ago I calculated how much eL Bee! and I would need for café expenditure when we were both retired and able to do as much cycling as we wanted. It was ... substantial. But it also assumed that we'd still want to do all-day bike rides.

In fact I've just got on the park and ride bus after lunch out, followed by coffee (loyalty card stamped ), followed by a talk on the recent archaeological excavations at Leicester Cathedral

In 1973, a 1st class stamp was 3.5p. Now it's £1.25. I can't think of anything else that has gone up nearly 40-fold in 40 years. (Actually 35.7 times for pedants) So I thought I'd ask you lot... A Mars bar was 6p in 1973, and today they are 80p (apparently). But that's without factoring the reduction in size. |
