That's a shame. I'm always raving about it and trying to get people to read it but it is a big commitment.

I don't hate it, I just feel like nothing happens and I don't care. I think it might have been better as a series of shorter books.

For me it was such an amazing world that I never wanted to finish it and I loved all the footnotes and tangents :-)

Anyway, I really must stop going on about it - I sound demented!

I have finished Fresh Water for flowers by Valérie Perrin Translator Hildegarde Serle

Beautiful

2nd book read this year by this pair and thougj I don't have favourites Perrin I would put in the good pile a book that's sad but with happy parts and a book I'm sad to finish
