Thanks Owl - I’ll have a look for that at the library. Currently bookless.

Peeps might remember that I ready an early Agatha Christie - The Secret Adversary. It’s been made into a series which is available on BBC iplayer. The main actress is very good, but her counterpart is played by David Walliams, which doesn’t feel right at all. I don’t feel they are a convincing married couple - he’s more than twice her size, slightly too old and quite camp in places. I’m staying the course for now because of the lead and also because Clarke Peters (Peter Clarke) is in it and I really like him.

Aha! Walliams is the producer - a vanity project!

Thanks Owl. The local library has been good up here with reservations so far, but they are trying to shut some smaller local libraries, so the pool of books may get smaller unless there’s a sizeable warehouse somewhere!

Northern Exile
I've finally got round to starting Pillars of the Earth. I'm already devastated, I might not be emotionally strong enough for this book :-(

Got something to say?
