I'm certainly looking at it as up to one minute to start with.

I love Core H, been doing it for about a year now! I originally got it off the RW forums. I still can't do a full minute for the side planks...

And for completeness, this is the stretching routine I use (although not as often as I should...) brianmac.co.uk |

As most of you know I will be doing the 10 marathons in 10 days next year may I am currently training seriously for it and need to be doing 200 miles a month can I do my core sessions on my days off? That is mon and tues, will that be sufficient or I need to include more days?

I've joined the group above. I've been trying to aim for 2 x core sessions a week (now doing them at home) and I attend an Iyengar yoga session every Tuesday and have been doing so for the past 4-6 weeks. It's amazing how much strength I have gained already but I know I can become a real slacker. S hopefully I will gain some inspiration from this thread. Please do not pair me up though TT as I would be quite useless trying to motivate someone, sorry |

My core strength is shocking and really feel how poor it is on long runs now I had a look at that Core H and looks good, so will try and incorporate that in to my gym programme. Hoping my swimming will have started to strengthen it as well.

No trouble Jaks, welcome aboard! Toks is fine to do on rest days but I would still aim for at least one full rest day. If I was you though I would do leg strength work too for sure. I would aim to do this on a Monday but then the core work any day(s) as wont really affect your ability to run. |

The further I run, the more my back hurts. I am going to be concentrating on ultras next year so this is my motivation for wanting a stronger core |

I want to improve my half times next year as they are dire. I pretty much epitomise a tortoise when running lol. So maybe a strong core will help
