Just back from the gym and did some crunches, planks and bridge. All on top of doing the rower and the x-trainer I am Swatty McSwat today lol

when we side planks in pilates we do them like this [IMAGE], it gives you more balance than the way it's done in the core 10 workout

Liliaicha at least a minute but I find it easier than the H core way.

That's how we do side planks too, although there's an option to do them on your elbows if you prefer. It's more stable with one foot in front of the other. I actually find it easier to hold side or front plank with straight arms as you can 'lock' them out. But I guess that depends on how strong your wrists are.
The key to get the most out of the core exercise is to lift your hips high, try not to focus on the arm strength.
