Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Still not got my seeds. I'm wondering if I can get a batch of sunflowers from zero to independent in five weeks.

Is it too late to plant corn? I can’t stand it, but I might be able to get my boy to eat it.

I shouldn't think so, you need a nice square patch to put at least 8-12 plants in, they pollinate via wind, so they have t be packed in, nice rich soil too.

Good idea to get him eating corn, come the climate/polinator Armageddon Corn will be quite useful along with potatoes, we'll all be on the Peruvian diet.

Might do ok with corn, little point actually having it started earlier I reckon. I've even grown edible sweetcorn up here (and more often failed, admittedly).

First shoots of sunflower are up :-)
