Only cos I didn't have any pellets! Then it rained and dissolved the salt... My sunflowers which survived the slugs have also survived on the windowsill while I was away, the one I left outside is also intact.

I'm OUT. the ones that did grow are thin and weedy and won't stand up and they are not that tall, so no win for me. Next year I'm going all out with so many different types of seeds there will be no chance of losing

never mind m4p, it's a learning curve this growing malarkey. Just look at how many years it took me to grow 1pumpkin.
Always next year

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs)
Hang the flags out! One of the 10 I planted second time around has finally appeared, I think that took 2 weeks
Sorry to hear you are out M4P, will you try another lot this year? I won't be in for a win either.

On my way home to check them out after they were abandoned whilst we went to the Keswick Mountain Festival. If the weather at home was anything like Friday night in Keswick I may too be out. Fingers crossed another hour and a half to wait.

Salvageable? I've staked the one that I thought might possibly stay the distance. Am I just fighting a losing battle?
