The Doctor K Cup

The seventh annual Doctor K Cup will take place on Saturday October 19th 2024
All you need is a GPS watch or app. On the day, RUN AT LEAST 5K WITHOUT LOOKING AT YOUR WATCH. The Fetch Benchmark system will pull out your fastest 5k from your run (so you can include it as part of your long run if you like). The person who gets closest to their prediction will be declared the winner (though the judges decision is final!).
It would be lovely if you could upload your 'K' pics to the gallery (make a K shape with your fingers) to help us remember Doctor K and all the Fetchies we have lost.
NB A GPS watch reporting 5.00km will do so from 4995 metres onwards, but you MUST run at least 5000 metres or more. To avoid disappointment add an extra 10 seconds on to the end of your run, just to make sure.

Yes  You can run an ultra if you like. The Benchmarks magic will pull out your fastest 5k, and this is what will be used. But if you only run 4999.99 metres, you will NOT get a time! Beware of a watch that reports 5.00km, and remember how rounding works

I've guessed at faster 5k in a er 56 mile ultra on saturday I assume this will be near the start It'll be too dark to read the watch and i'll be too busy trying not to get lost anyway at the start.

If you upload two runs - i.e. you run to parkrun and it's over 5k, upload then run parkrun, will it work out the fastest time between the two runs? Sorry if it's been asked before.

rightmove.co.uk Just round the corner from me. They spent 6-12 months doing in up including massive extensions…..and then decided it was too big. |
