I popped back in to see if anyone has a rational defence of being given this status by birthright, instead it seems like the Flat Earth Society has moved in.
I am still waiting for a logical argument from first principles that becoming a ruler by accident of birth is correct but the idea that the current Prime Minister can remain in office perpetually and pass the office to his heirs is incorrect.
Note you cannot use the argument that "This is the law", this is not a logical argument that addresses the premises, it is simply "That's the way it is".
Is North Korea a model to aspire to? There are some interesting comparisons to be made in terms of the mandatory mourning we have seen in recent times in terms of TV coverage.

It was nice to see 30p Lee being shown up by the Met Commissioner, even if what he said didn’t reflect the actions of his officers on Saturday.

Went for a walk around my hometown today and certain roads resembled Unionist Belfast. All a bit OTT (well, a lot OTT). Can we get back to normal now please?

I just read a Guardian article which was essentially about leaving a cult. I thought immediately of this thread and realised some cults are more insidious and deeply-ingrained and protected by the establishment.
