Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

There's all sorts of unpleasant warnings in the old testament about raising Kings up to be on a par with God. Obviously the Catholics and Anglicans haven't read them.

Jesus Christ. Another piece of blatant nepotism right there.

I don't want to get into any fights but really, this wanker needs to be voted out at the first opportunity.

I have a friend who worked at Balmoral in the 1990s and she got told off for leaving a can of Vim in a downstairs loo that Her Majesty sometimes used!

I suppose next time there’s a coronation a lot of the gammony royal loving lot will have died off so there’ll be even more protest and even less interest despite how the media etc try to paint it as a national event.

I just think of all the people choosing between heating and eating this winter gone. And the money wasted on this event for a man who groomed his first wife, then had her murdered, and for a family who prioritise looking after their paedophiles, a stain on them which goes back several generations.

It’s an utter disgrace this country and those who claim to be proud to be British.

I wonder how many people would have given in to the pomp and ceremony with so much gusto had this happened closer to Diana's, ahem, death. Even though all-in-all, support for the monarchy is much lower than then.

Heaven forfend that they should see some common cleaning products. That sort of bullshit can FRO.

Glad this whole thing is coming to an end. It's an unedifying spectacle when people are struggling to make ends meet to see such gaudy displays of obscene wealth. Will also be nice to watch the news and have some news.

I haven’t seen any of it.

About This Thread

So will you be waving your little union jack and pledging your allegiance and scoffing coronation chicken or quiche at a street party?

Or ignoring the whole bloated exhibition of flummery and forelock tugging to inherited privilege and finding more important things to do?

I'm in the latter camp :-)
