Hurrah! Will wait for your blog after which I may well individually tailor your challenge. As long as you are up for that of course....

Over *very* short distances, Jenny (And even then I'd be eating Sharkie's dust!) Seriously, it's made me appreciate just how fast Ms Summers is!!

Mine turned into an interval session. But I did see low 8 min/miling for the dashing about bits. I am still 'special needs' in the hamstring department so I don't think dashing about is likely to be a particularly good thing to do, but who knows.

You DO have a choice. You can run a 100 metres or say 150 instead. If you have it measured out or are on a track where it's measured for you, its a very good option. But it MUST be all out (with the run in start - which will stop anyone hurting themselves)

I did day 2 on the track today - just me and another, younger woman who was just running round and round (albeit at a decent steady pace.) I felt quite tired this morning and my knees were a little sore. I gave it a bit of a go anyway. I think I still have a bit of a mental block about keeping it going for 42 seconds. I deliberately chose the track for day 2 because the informal running circuit I used on day 1 has a very obvious visual 'stop' of hedges at the 100m bend and I thought that might be subconsciously telling me to stop. Today I tried my rolling start on the bend with the home straight ahead of me for the fast running, but again the bend at the far end seemed to tell me 'that's enough'. This http://www.fetcheveryone.com/t-12668706 was my most consistent attempt but it was too short. This was my final attempt: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/t-12668709. If I was going all out I shouldn't be able to do more than one attempt, should I? Btw, there were a few seconds on one session where the numbers were 4:xx! I really ought to set my Garmin on Intervals rather than stop and start it. |

7 intervals of 6 seconds, perhaps?
