Just one sub 10 minute mile. That's all I ask. You can warm up for an entire marathon beforehand if the spirit moves you.
Or not. I might do a mile of run walk either side, we'll see.
Any takers?

Just ONE mile. Not Sub 10 min miling. I bet loads of people would be surprised at themselves
You can run it downhill if you like, I probably will.

Me! Meeeee! I've done it on the treadmill but that doesn't count. I'm on 10:10 at the moment so it's within grasp.

Why not go to a Fetch Mile event and get someone there to pace you? There must be a London/Home Counties one coming up soon? And it will be on a track which will suit you no end? (And you can then show everyone how all the sprint races should be done too!)

That's a great idea in some ways except I'd take a Fetch mile FAR too seriously and would be tragically upset at anything slower than 8:59 rather than 9:59. (For me) I want it to be easy - not a race.

'How hard can it be?' has got me into all sorts of interesting situations - you'll be sea swimming next :-).
You know of course that you are entirely capable of this. I shall lurk with interest!

Jenny - you are so close it will be a doddle! But a great one to tick off!
And as for you Night Owl - who once was and always will be Pammie the fast girl - of course you can! Let's make it sooner rather than later.
Just one mile remember!

Most Fetch Miles have pacers, so just tag along with the 10 minute pacer, saving the seriousness for the shorter 100/200/400m sprints, and as BBL says show us all how to sprint properly :-).
