That sucks Baz re eldest, it's a tough one, I had something similar at one point and I said more money or else I only do what I was being paid to do originally, a couple of weeks working to that rule and they came up with more cash. Being that he was handpicked for the role they obviously rate him and that threat might just be enough to loosen the purse strings.

Hard when you're young to get properly remunerated and treated generally. Best of luck to him Baz and congrats to youngest. :-) G

That is tough. I remember being a bit upset when my younger sister announced she was getting married and that was not on the cards for me. OH reports something similar. Not sure why it was important.

My son has just taken up a new job with more hours and better pay. He "negotiated" an improved rate based on two companies wanting him. It's "only" retail, so we're talking just above min wage, but it's still an improvement and I'm very proud of and pleased for him. :-) G

Cheeky’s Dad
Cheeky has finally passed his driving test (at he 4th attempt) He’s been a good driver all along just prone to a lapse of concentration at the critical moment. All it took was an instructor he got on with and an intensive week. I am so pleased and relived for him.

Sharing a proud mum moment, my oldest, 24y, has just bought a flat! Also feels a lot like moving to a new stage for me, having one out of two people fly the nest.
