Risk assessment updated - pages and pages of it but I think I've covered most reasonable scenarios. Staff well-being is the biggest and most important section, along with support for vulnerable and key worker's children. It was signed off by governors tonight at a ritual meeting that I couldn't join for some reason I'm writing up the plan tomorrow to share with staff and then will let parents know who has got a place. There will be a lot of disappointed people. We have about 90 places available and it seems that children of key workers will take about 80 of these, so will only be offering to Reception, I think.

Looks like Cambridge is going hybrid. Hope that means all the other universities can now call it too and everyone will be on a level playing field for admissions.

Well done GM. You can only take those you have space for.

Thanks, GG. It's been a challenge, with the guidance changing and then the LA dropping in bits and pieces. That's without a few parents starting to get dissatisfied with their children being at home so becoming a bit vocal. Oh well; we were appreciated for a few short weeks and it was nice whilst it lasted

Sometimes teach IT to adults & sometimes deliver school presentations to children of all ages about sustainability & sometimes get involved with schools to help create sustainability initiatives for the school.
Have had a number of years working with adobe connect to deliver remote learning to adults so happy to help provide tips that may or may not work with children. But also would love tips from everyone else that they have found works to keep the audience involved and interested.

Oxbridge has an advantage when it comes to online teaching - because most of their students are from wealthy backgrounds, they all have laptops/tablets etc.
Not all universities are the same.
Online only thus is not very inclusive. Which is an issue.

True fozzy but my institution has given laptops to any student that needed them so not insurmountable. And we are not a rich institution

But working at home with no access to library is not inclusive, that is true

The biggest problem for some of ours was not access to IT but space away from family/children/parents for time to study. In a small flat there was just nowhere to go to escspe when they would normally use the library.
