Feel your pain. We have just had a horrendous experience with one.

New young person to help with volunteer tutoring this evening - a refugee apparently, keen to catch up on their National 5 Maths. Hope I can help! G

Thanks. It was good, but oh my goodness, only 4 weeks until her exams and I'll only see her 3 times in that period. Hope her studying goes well. G

Yes, I had that with a student I was tutoring for chemistry, really only enough time to go through the basics. I never did hear how he got on.

Hello. Coming at this from the other side. My daughter's head teacher is leaving/retiring. Whilst she has been the source of many problems over the last 7 years, when the chips were down she's really supported LittleD. I'd like to get her something. Any ideas? I don't know whether she drinks. I don't really know her personally. She's been there a long time so will get loads, I should think.
