Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

New young person to help with volunteer tutoring this evening - a refugee apparently, keen to catch up on their National 5 Maths. Hope I can help! :-) G

Thanks. It was good, but oh my goodness, only 4 weeks until her exams and I'll only see her 3 times in that period. Hope her studying goes well. :-) G

Yes, I had that with a student I was tutoring for chemistry, really only enough time to go through the basics. I never did hear how he got on.

Hello. Coming at this from the other side. My daughter's head teacher is leaving/retiring. Whilst she has been the source of many problems over the last 7 years, when the chips were down she's really supported LittleD. I'd like to get her something. Any ideas? I don't know whether she drinks. I don't really know her personally. She's been there a long time so will get loads, I should think.

There are enough educators on here that I thought it might be nice to have somewhere supportive to rant and problem solve.
