I think it's possible for me to hang around in the background, but I wouldn't be able to interfere in any way, which would probably be even worse. I have chosen the examiners to be people I think will be fair (and that the student is also happy with). No wine as my student doesn't drink alcohol, so we'll have Nosecco, other soft drinks and milk (to help with the spicy food). I've splashed out on food from their country of birth instead of the champers (although I will probably have a drink once I get home). Still need to get a card.

We'll be kicking off with a bit of application of maths, possibly the personal finance section next Monday. Fingers crossed! Big learning curves for me. G
