I would like a proper race to test myself out, but nothing planned until a 10k on 25th March. Just reviewed my plan to see if I can fit a parkrun in, but I could only do that if I disrupted the plan a bit......will ponder.

85s a good target for me as well. Didd 88:49 last month. Dont know when il next do a half but did a 93 in a training run today and didnt feel like I was pushing myself at all. Consistent training is definately helping me.

Roberto, If 93 is a traing run then you will be closer to 1:20 if doing the relevant speed work and not running too hard in training. Good effort.

Barac half on Sunday for a PW.... running with a friend to get aound 2:20..... will be good for though as starting out on the comeback trail....

RFJ,enjoy the pacing hope you get through it with no issues...

I've got Inverness half in a couple of weeks so looking to get close to my pb if not then hopefully better but wont be too disheartened if it doesn't go my way as it's not the A-race at this time!!

Roberto, I'd look for another half in the next couple of months as you look in decent form...

Stoosh - went really well 2:18:20 with 5k splits of 32:55, 32:15, 32:25, 33:03 plus the last K, I got my friend new PBs at 5m 10m and 1/2.... and to top it off body behaved well..... still no speed work though and just maintaining base

Good stuff RFJ, nice even splits along with the bonus of getting through it without issues..

Think i'll be lucky to get to the start of this half the extra milage i've been asking my body to cope with.. No fresh injury's or nuggles to contend with and managed a few miles in my racing flats without problems which is a sign my foot is becomming stronger:)

Take it easy on the comeback..

I'm back in in the hunt and looking to finally nail a new PB for the Half. Based on recent performance at the Tarpley 20m (6:38m/m) I shouldn't have any excuses but to get close to that elusive 1:25. One things for sure I should be able to PB as an absolute minimum. Colchester next week, so no excuses for me!

Thats a good time LBM, looking good to go for the sub 85. Im potentially targetting it on sunday at Haweswater, but its a hilly course so it will be a tough one.

Thanks Roberto. The 20m pace was on a tough undulating course too, so it gave me a big shot of confidence. I'm a little concerned this week though as I'm still tired since the Tarpley 20, so I should have perhaps had another days rest. Still I'm looking forward to Colchester.

Good luck with your attempt at Haweswater! I haven't heard of that event before? I'll check it out for future reference.
