Cheers RFJ and all the best on your come back following your Op! Don't push too soon though. When you're ready to really go for it, you can also adopt the Willymo strategy of improvement by 'running faster' It seems to be popular with many on the forum and seems to be getting sound results :-)

Just popping in to say good luck LBM and Rob.

Also, I am glad that my HM coaching wisdom continues to be spread. I wonder if Farah or Overall want some tips ahead of the NY Half?

Also - Rob, your training this year has been fantastic. Really hope you can keep it up another couple of months because after the marathon you will be flying. Could push sub 36 10k this summer?

LBM - Thats a really good 20 mile time, you are right to be confident for 85. Just need to go and do it now!

Thanks Willymo. I'm really hoping to maintain focus for next weeks attempt. Colchester Half actually rounds off the first week of the race prep mesocycle of my marathon schedule. Would be nice to start it positively.

Good luck with your own training/racing!

Struggled round haweswater half today. Set off for sub 85 but knew in the first mile id struggle. Kept pushing to 8 but then i couldnt pick the pace up onthe downhills. Ended up walking parts ans finished in 1:41. Disappointed but think its just a build up of too many miles. I think i may have ot injured as well as my knee is very sore now but waiting to see how it feels tomorrow.

Roberto, It will come.... my philosphy is run your general runs slow and then your speed sessions fast, has worked for me in the past, plus the conditions today were not the best.
