Pd - would say they are too fast. When I was running 73 I still didn't run easy at that pace.

Much easier to get the right effort if you err on the side of going slower. Most folk run easy too fast and if you don't fancy monitoring HR that's fine, but I'd bet you'd be better off slowing down. There's lots of room for error before you'd be going too slow, but not much before you're going too fast.

how accurate is something like the McMillan calc as I tend to pace my runs around their suggestions...

Easy is 6:55-7:55 on Mac, so I went for somewhere in the middle.

I always found McMillan paces a bit too fast. Fastest I've run easy runs was 7.20ish and that was right before my half PB in March. Even then I was doing 3 or 4 runs a week at 8+mm. Now I reckon I'm in sub 85 ish area and my easy runs are about 8.15 to 9+ just now.
