Chris I think i have had the desire all along, this i what i want to do, i have not reach my goals yet, and it's very nice to keep getting better and in the end make it. I just got to get my mind in the new mode, and get use to the increased mileage and structure again I haven't dialled down that much since May though, i still have done 100 km per week on an average, the only thing i've taken away have been a weekly >32km. So it's not that big of a leap i guess. Also, i have a shorter training block this time 14 weeks including tapering last time it was 16 weeks excluding tapering, with a B race 4 week before the A race. Lets see how it goes this time, maybe i get through the whole race |

Yeah, progression from about 10 mpw has gone 25, 0, 28, 34, 37. Should break 40 this week, cut back then build towards the 50s. Can’t reliably run more than 5 days a week and even hitting 30s consistently is a bit of a bodyshock! My thought is that I need to get the long run into decent shape quickly though! |

Chris - I don't think that I could get near 3 hours off lower mileage. Possibly 3.15 or thereabouts (I think I could run a pretty comfortable - apart from my knees - sub 3.30 tomorrow). Bowman - that sounds like a great place to be starting this campaign from. |

Think I’m finally getting to the point where I feel I can go for it again and put myself through the training. 3 year gap seems to do it 😂 So I’ve signed up for Edinburgh. My plan is to build up over summer to ticking over with 100 miles a month until January and then do a 16 week plan. Been a long time since I had any form of consistency or decent mileage so just small steps for now. |

How’s July going for everyone? Looks like fergus and WW are putting in some good miles and I’ve managed a decent haul too. Not sure if I’ve got it in me to do another 10 weeks of it though |

I've been able to string a few sixty mile weeks together but seem to break if I go over that - it's happened twice now. With no speed work or hills I'm not sure I can trouble the three hour mark on such low mileage.

60 miles isn’t too bad LMH. I’ve been struggling to get into to 70’s. Tempted to not chase the miles over the ‘summer’ and keep some of the sessions instead.

I wasn't far off 60 miles...last month! Will be closer to 30 in July though. I wonder if I might be taking this "summer off" thing a bit too far But a lot of distractions to deal with, and not a lot of motivation. Would have parkrunned yesterday but for the weather. |

Had a few of days off it this week, but I’ve got a 21 mile run in the plan today. Just need to set off nice and slow, so that I’ve got enough left in the tank for the hilly finish!
