Sadly i'm out of Manchester Marathon. I had to be honest with myself, just didnt recover enough from injury to run without pain for 26 miles🤷‍♂️. Ive Dubin marathon booked for October. I'll still be in Manchester to support my club, RoadRunnersAC and will look out for fetchies.
ATB i hope you all smash it.

obviously I’m really sorry to read that Steve but I’m also surprised. I really thought you were going well in training, certainly throwing in some runs that felt out of my reach. I suppose that just goes to show it’s only you that knows how you really feel.
Hope you can rest up and get well for the Autumn.
Nice blog JDA. I love the way that you’re able to look at the data and exclude the emotion to a certain extent.
Your blog made me look at my own charts. I’ve run more miles than I did in prep for my last 3 sub 3 maras albeit at an overall slightly slower pace. I think this is down to running my recoveries really much slower this time around so hopefully it’s not a significant problem.
I plan to go through HM in the 87 -> 88 range and try and hold it together for as long my heart and legs will allow.

Nice blog jda, sorry to read that Steve and I think that's a very sensible, if slightly conservative strategy WW. I don't think you'll drop off that pace and you might even negative split as from afar your training block looks to have been brilliant.

Yeah based on your recent HM etc I reckon you should be comfortably taking a bit off your marathon PB WW! Get in there quick before age catches up with you

I’m jealous so looked up the Berlin marathon, are all European marathons so expensive? 163 euros is a lot just for entry

Amazing how you can be jealous when not running but totally dreading it when you are!
Yes Chris, we get it quite cheap over here. Look up the big US marathons for some real eye watering prices! I think Chicago was close to $400.
